For children in El Sauce, education is the key to a better life. Children are given the precious gift of literacy. Hopefully the opportunity to attend school will help these rural people raise their standard of living and take control of their lives.

At present many children in El Sauce cannot afford to go to school.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to support over 100 children in eight elementary schools in El Sauce. Without this help these children would not be able to attend school. They do not own shoes to walk the harsh terrain. We buy them shoes. They do not have proper clothing. We buy them required school uniforms. They do not have school supplies. We provide them with backpacks, pencils, pens and notebooks.

Families of our scholarship children attend regular parent workshops where they are encouraged to value education and keep their child in school.  Teachers keep us informed of each child’s attendance and academic progress.

Unbelievably, only $70 year gives a child the opportunity to attend school.

The need is great. So many children are desperate for our help.
